ath gen. Ryzing from ashes!

Still no spaceships. Not even shuttles anymore. AI is all the rage. No wonder given all these androids all around. These nice moneys did not help to gain more free time btw. More stuff, though. Then again, this damn stuff costs time. Ein Teufelskreis!

For once i start a new generation not with a new main device but a new gaming rig (see below). Thus freeing this one of its eGPU. Don't get me wrong! That was awesome! But also quite a hassle with then three GPUs, a situation which prime is not made for. Also the loss in performance was quite significant.

I may have mentioned elsewhere: i have kind of a problem with tiny computers. This is the first one i got when it was new. So new in fact, Linux compatibility was still unknown when i ordered. Although i had high hopes as it is very similar to its predecessor which works fine. This one does too. Fedora has trouble with its latest kernel (on other surface devices too), so i installed Ubuntu (which is way zubuntu btw). Which lacks UFS support, but that can be fixed.

Moooore power! Given that this is pretty much the cheapest AM5 Ryzen 5, its stupidly fast. A faster than the moderately high-end-sh i7 in the 7550.

My Chimæra is still with me and follows me to events and stuff. It even got more insane: i had a cheap eGPU-Kit from Aliexpress, bought in maybe 2018 for the T520 and never ever even tried out. But in february of 2023 i finally was on fire and tried it out on the Chimæra. It worked, so i bought a nice GPU for it. Rather cheap, but plenty fast in comparsion to the age of the Chimæra. It can play Metro Last light redux perfectly fine.
I event printed a nice case for it. This thing really is a project notebook. Still thinking about what i could do next :D
