Surface Pro 1

I got this one from a local flea market for fifty euros. Thought it was a bargain, but as the display turned out to be damaged, which i could not tell against the sunlight, i guess it was okay-ish at best. I just hope it wont get worse and as the battery is in very good condition i take it as a win and will use it. Maybe. I mean, if i find a use for it. It just looked so cute so i took it. I have no idea what for.

Come on baby light my display

The Display shows severe discolorations (a brownish yellow tint) on the right side, about a centimetre from the bezel and just as wide. On the left side is a similar streak, but much less pronounced. The pixels do in fact work, there is just a static discoloration. Using dark themes make it nearly invisible for most of the time.
Apparently this is due to heat and a somewhat common problem for older surface tablets. Although some say it may be pressure related due to bulging batteries. But i doubt that is the case here, as the battery is in exceptional condition and i know how pressure discolouration looks like.
As opening the device is quite involved i guess i will just live with it.

Touchy feely keys

The clipsable keyboard is cool and rather slim. But the keys have no hub whatsoever. It works. Quite good actually, but its very weird. The touchpad is bad, though. Too small and not very precise.

Touchpad of doom
